CASAREALIA

CasaRealia is a villa set on a promontory overhanging the Sicilian sea, in Agrigento. With its 13000 sq.mt. gardens and 20mt. pools, it offers a retreat to guests visiting the Valley of the Temples and the other wonders of Agrigento.

The owners live in a separate part of the villa and share with their guest the pool and the gardens. They can also share their knowledge of the area and, if requested, advice on the best Agrigento can offer.

The villa is near the Archaeological Park of the Valley of the Temples which, with its 1300 hectares, is the most extensive archaeological park in the world, joining the UNESCO heritage list in 1997.  The Valley of the Temples, one of Sicily's most famous attractions is one of the most outstanding examples of Greater Greece art and architecture. A visit to this beautiful complex brings you back in time to when Akgragas (Agrigento’s Greek name) was one of the great powers of the Magna Grecia.

CasaRealia is quite unique in the area due to its location with open views of the sea and the incredibly well-kept gardens, full of mature olive and palm trees. The location is ideal to reach the numerous beaches of the coast, including the famous Turkish Steps, the Valley of the Temples and all the other touristic sites, like St. Spirito convent or St. Mary of Greeks among the others.

This is a hidden gem. Right on the ocean, the sea air was so clear and clean. The pool was amazing, and the whole property was so well landscaped, it felt luxurious. This place is pulsing with the love of the family who rescued it. All furnishings are top quality and the staff is wonderful and caring. It is the opposite of some impersonal tourist trap. It felt like staying with family who just wanted to please.

Oasis of calm in The Valley of The Temples.
We had a wonderful stay at CasaRealia. It’s a beautifully restored farm house with a lovely garden and pool. The owners, Giancarlo and his wife Roberta, were wonderful hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend a car to get around but the Temples and town are reachable by taxi.

We ended up staying here very last minute as our very expensive hotel cancelled us by accident (our fault). This little spot is a gem. Beautifully renovated, quaint, family run and delightful. The location on the water is magic...the pool is fabulous... breakfast featured the best coffee we had in Italy this far. I’d stay again in a heart beat ...oh, and close to the ruins!!!
